Paper Trading – Why Do I Have To Keep Doing It?!
One of the things that Traders International review all the time is paper-trading. When I was first starting out they recommended that you paper-trade at least 15 out of 20 successful trades before you begin to trade with real money. This was fantastic for me because it was as I paper traded I found out which areas I was lacking in and I could improve on them before using my hard earned cash. At first I had trouble just clicking the right buttons on the trading platform! But then I learnt what emotions were influencing my decisions as I traded and I could work on these. The more you paper trade the more accustomed you become to the software, how the market moves, how you act and re-act and how to recognize when to get into a trade.
I paper-traded for about 6 weeks before I used real money, and even then I made a few mistakes and stuff ups. But it was less than if I’d gone straight to real money.
