BABYSITTING FLIER HELP?

26 October 2010

I have recently decided, since the economy is crap and it is impossible to find a job in my area, the perfect summer job would be babysitting.

I have a lot of experience, with children of all ages, in all group sizes, and I am VERY great with handicapped children and all kinds of animals.

I decided to advertise the services using a flier and business cards. I have recently finished the flier and would like any input on the contents of the flier, as in:

Things that should be reworded, replaced, inserted, or just pain deleted.

I never put my last name on the flier. It includes my main contact number, my cell phone number. To me, that is the only questionable content on the flier.

The flier is colorful and computer-generated and it looks VERY professional. It includes three pictures, one of me with a dog. This picture shows that I am good with animals. Another picture is one of me with a child in a wheelchair, and another is a photo of me with an everyday-looking child while reading a book to her.

The background is a piece of lined paper with child-like handwriting on it, and the photos are bordered with construction paper that looks like it has been cut by a child. The photos are surrounded by a cat and a frog that also look like they were created by a child.

Below the pictures are my certifications, CPR in Adults, Children, and Infants. A Babysitting Certification, AED training as well as Basic First Aid Response.

Next to my certifications is this paragraph:

"Hello there, my name is Amber. I am a student and a YMCA Kids’ Zone volunteer. I have experience caring for children of all ages in numbers ranging from a single child to large groups. My babysitting services are available any time and I have my own means of transportation. Many safe crafts and games will be provided during my services. Please call with any questions or concerns and references are always available upon request."

Then, at the bottom, are rip-off tabs with my first name and my cell phone number.

Does anyone have any comments or questions concerning my flier that that could help me attract more customers?

I am looking to advertise in businesses in the area with community billboards, and at the YMCA I volunteer at. I do not plan on knocking on doors or anything. I also hold a job at a salon. I was thinking of posting a flier there and making a business card that I could hand to customers with children or grandchildren.

Is there anything missing on my flier?
Thank you all for your help.
Thanks, the Craigslist thing is a great idea.
I think I will resort to that though, when posting fliers in the area is not working like I would like….

I would like to keep my cell phone number off of the internet for as long as possible.

which she sent me back when things were good. There’s not much nudity but they are very sexual poses, with a bra and panties in most, and one of her posing naked behind shower curtains cupping her large breasts.

I am thinking of putting them up online (on my own website called thespicylifeofms(xx).com) or even better, advertising her sexual services on craiglist, since I know her town and cell phone number.

My ex is a 29-year-old teacher in Brazil. I’m 21. We were together, she dumped me, asked for a second chance, then dumped me again within days. I’m over her, but still feel insulted and humiliated.

I just got a text message from kathie@jefgc.com. The message reads "hey check out Karina’s new site www.backcolt.com". I sent a reply message telling them to remove me from their contact list and also informing them that advertising via unwanted text messages is probably illegal, but the message I sent came back undeliverable. Has this happened to anyone else? I have no idea how they would have got my cell phone number to send me this stupid advertisement. I’m going to do some research on the backcolt website and the .com that the email address is from.
further investigation of the jefgc.com website reveals that it is some sort of construction management company in NYC. Strange thing is that I cannot find any WHOIS listing for jefgc.com.
further investigation of the backcolt.com website reveals that it is a website that sells viagra. WHOIS traces it back to Milton, Queensland Australia. Also on the WHOIS registration, whoever registered just typed a bunch of random keys and didn’t actually fill out any information. This is so strange.
Adding more info again.

My sister just got a text message that is very similair to the one I got. The message reads "I just seen Taylor’s new site WOW it’s www.amongcoast.com". The message was sent from Karin@it-factories.com.

The amongcoast.com website has no WHOIS info that I can find.

it-factories.com is apparently under construstion.

It seems that whoever is behind this is somehow infiltrating legitimate mail servers of businesses, creating accounts for themselves, and mass sending out these messages.
I believe that all of these messages have been sent out in the same general time period based on people who have contacted me on yahoo answers saying they just got their message. My sister and I have Sprint. Could this SMS advertising be limited to Sprint customers only?
I have just sent a report in to Sprint. I will post more information here when it comes in.
I got an email back from sprint that basically said

"You can report spam by forwarding spam text messages directly to
abuse@messaging.sprintpcs.com or by calling Customer Care at *2."

The email was longer but it just had a bunch of useless info in it. So, I’ve reported this to Sprint and to the FCC. I really don’t think there’s much else I can do besides that. I really am amazed though at the number of different domains being used to send out the text messages. And all of the email domains I’ve checked seem to be legit businesses. My only thought to this is that somehow, these legit business were infiltrated by someone who used their mail server to send out these messages. That would be considered unauthorized communication. So after hacking their way into people’s mail servers and illegally sending advertisements to people on the do not call list, they must be in big trouble if the FCC catches up to them, as in an ,000 fine for each text message sent to numbers on the DNC list.
